National Weather Service – SKYWARN Spotter Talk

April 1 @ 5:00 pm 7:30 pm

The SkyWarn™ Spotter program is a voluntary program in which the public can participate in storm reporting and interact with your local NWS Office.  Spotters are encouraged to relay critical weather information to their local NWS Office, in support of the Warning and Forecast Operations. The information spotters provide immensely helps the NWS Forecasters make better/more informed forecasts and helps them to warn others of impending dangers or hazards.

The National Weather Service Spring Spotter Training for the area is being held at Millersville University on April 1st from 1700-1930 hours. Millersville is trying to get an idea of the number of attendees for the training. Please use the QR code in the image or click the link below to register for the training.

The training is being held in Caputo Hall (Caputo 210) located at Science Ln, Millersville, PA 17551. A map of where to park on Millersville’s campus has also been included below. On the map, you will find areas labeled to park along with walking instructions to get to Caputo Hall. When you walk up to the building, there will be an opening that will bring you to the entrance located on the left-hand side. Once inside, you will take a right where there will be a common area and a door on the back wall. That is Caputo 210, where the talk will be held.

A side note about parking: if you elect to park near the residence halls, do not park in any blue spaces. Those are reserved parking spots for students living in the dorms.

*THIS EVENT IS NOT BEING HELD AT LCDES*
