Educational Methodology for Local Level Instructors (EMLL)

Course Description: The EMLL Course will prepare the successful candidate to effectively instruct adult students in fire and emergency services. Topics include: theories of adult learning, instructor roles and responsibilities, legal and ethical requirements, safety, lesson objectives and planning, methods of knowledge and skill instruction, student evaluation and training program coordination. Successful completion of the program is dependent upon practical skill demonstration, including a presentation, and a multiple-choice written examination.
